Teresa Corrales Identified in Fatal Car Crash on Highway 350, Eric Arguijo Arrested for DUI

 
MITCHELL COUNTY, TX (April 17, 2023) – Officers identified 52-year-old Teresa Vega Corrales of Odessa as the victim who died in a crash on Highway 350 on April 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at approximately 11 miles south of Ira.
 
Based on a report, 27-year-old Eric Acosta Arguijo of Colorado City was driving a pickup south on the highway prior to the crash. At the same time, Ysuniel Torres Dominguez of Odessa was driving an SUV on the northbound lane with Corrales.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Arguijo crossed the center lane while approaching the SUV. Dominguez swerved left to avoid a head-on collision but the pickup still hit her SUV on the right passenger side.
 
As a result, Corrales was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Police arrested and charged Arguijo with driving while intoxicated and intoxication manslaughter in connection to the collision.
 
Crews treated him and Dominguez were treated for non-incapacitating injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
