PALM SPRINGS, CA (February 6, 2024) — Eric Berry was arrested following a DUI accident that killed one pedestrian on South Palm Canyon Drive on January 28.

According to the Palm Springs Police Department, the pedestrian crash occurred around 6:52 p.m. It is located in the 600 block of South Palm Canyon Drive near its intersection with Indian Canyon Drive.

Based on reports, Berry was allegedly driving under the influence when he crashed into the pedestrian.

As a result, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and passed away. Information on his identity is still not available.

Berry is facing charges of suspicion of causing bodily injury while driving. He was booked into Indo with $5,000 bond.

Authorities closed down Palm Canyon Drive from Camino Parocela to Sunny Dunes Road overnight while further investigation is ongoing.
