Edroy McCormick Fatally Injured in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident
PHOENIX, AZ (December 12, 2024) — A 36-year-old man, Edroy McCormick, died in a pedestrian accident on Friday, November 29.
According to the Phoenix police, the incident involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian occurred near 50th Street and McDowell Road at around 6:15 p.m.
Detectives said McCormick was outside of a crosswalk when he crossed McDowell Road. Then a motorcycle hit him.
First responders arrived on the scene. They found McCormick with critical injuries. After that, they transported him to the hospital, where he died.
The motorcyclist initially left the area. Then they came back during the investigation.
Police said impairment did not contribute as a factor in the crash. There were no arrests made.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
