Octavius Rose Dead after Pedestrian Accident on 20 Freeway

 
TERRELL, TX (March 26, 2024) — A man identified as 24-year-old Octavius Demond Rose died in a pedestrian crash on Sunday, March 17.
 
According to the Terell Police Department, the crash took place on the 200 block of the westbound 20 Freeway.
 
Police received calls around 12:40 a.m. from drivers on 20 Freeway about a person standing in the roadway.
 
As officers traveled to the scene, officials said they received a call from a driver. The motorist said that they hit a person on the roadway.
 
Terrell police then arrived at the crash. After that, they discovered the victim dead with apparent major injuries. They later identified the victim as Otavius Demond Rose.
 
Police said they transported the deceased to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
 
It’s not yet determined if the driver who allegedly struck Rose will face any charges.
