Jimmy Aviles Fatally Struck in Phoenix Head-On Accident

 
PHOENIX, AZ (March 26, 2024) — A 46-year-old man identified as Jimmy Anthony Aviles died in a head-on crash on Wednesday, March 13.
 
According to the Phoenix police, the accident took place near 32nd Street and Southern Avenue at around 5 p.m.
 
Authorities said Aviles drove westbound. Then he lost control and crossed over into oncoming traffic. After that, it struck the second vehicle.
 
Police suspect Aviles may have been under the influence during the crash. However, lab analysis results are pending.
 
As officers arrived, they found Aviles seriously injured at the scene. They rushed him to the hospital where he later died.
 
Paramedics transported the second driver to the hospital with minor injuries.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
