Fatal Fresno Pedestrian Accident near Elm Avenue and North Avenue
FRESNO, CA (November 16, 2022) — A man died after being struck by a vehicle near Elm Avenue and North Avenue on Monday evening, November 14.
The fatal collision occurred at around 6:00 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities said a Toyota Corolla traveled at a speed of 40 miles per hour when a man walked in the path of the vehicle.
The force of impact caused major injuries to the pedestrian, who died at the scene.
The CHP believes that the man could have been watching videos on his cellphone while walking.
No other information is disclosed at this time. However, investigators continue to look into the factors surrounding the accident.
