Man Struck by Vehicle on Highway 99 near Lake Stickney in Everett

 
EVERETT, WA (September 20, 2022) – A man suffered injuries after being struck by a suspected DUI driver in an accident in the 13200 block of Highway 99.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Lake Stickney at about 8:10 PM on September 18.
 
Based on a report, the 39-year-old Edmonds man was standing on the shoulder of the highway following an initial collision that disabled his car. At that time, the car was partially blocking the northbound right lane. Subsequently, a second vehicle drove onto the right shoulder and struck him and his car.
 
As a result, the victim sustained injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
 
In the end, officers suspected DUI as a factor in the incident. As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
