Bridget Urman Dies in Attempted Hit-and-Run on 143rd Street near Pacific Avenue in Parkland
PARKLAND, WA (September 20, 2022) – Police identified Bridget Urman as the victim who died in a car crash on 143rd Street.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Pacific Avenue at about 3:10 PM on September 17.
Based on a report, Urman was headed west on 143rd prior to the crash. As she turned left onto Pacific, a 25-year-old Puyallup man heading north struck her vehicle.
As a result, 68-year old Urman from Elbe died at an area hospital.
Police said the driver of the other vehicle fled from the scene, but Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies later found and brought him back to the scene.
At this point, the suspect is facing a number of possible charges, including vehicular homicide and felony hit-and-run. Police also suspected him of driving under the influence. As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
