Man in Wheelchair Gregory Moore Killed in Amarillo Hit-and-Run
AMARILLO, TX (September 20, 2022) – Police are looking for the driver who struck and killed Gregory Gene Moore in a hit-and-run on 40 Freeway on September 16.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Bell Street around 12:00 AM.
Based on a report, Moore – who used a wheelchair – was in the outside lane of traffic at the time of the crash. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle going westbound struck him and left the scene.
When officers arrived, they found 65-year-old Moore dead at the scene. According to the report, Moore had been in a wheelchair.
Police asked anyone with any information about the incident to call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 806-374-4400. As of now, an investigation is underway.
