Lazaro Resendiz Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 20 Freeway [Midland, TX]

Lazaro Resendiz Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Midland

 
MIDLAND, TX (February 13, 2023) – Midland police identified 51-year-old Lazaro Resendiz as the victim who was struck and killed by a vehicle in the 1900 block of 20 Freeway on February 7.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 7:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, Resendiz parked his white Ford F-150 pickup truck in the grassy shoulder of the road to pick up a piece of wood.
 
Subsequently, a vehicle came and struck him. It was not clear if the driver stayed at the scene.
 
Officers found Resendiz lying on the ground in the middle of the eastbound lanes while unresponsive with life-threatening injuries. Crews transported him to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he died.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
