Kimberly Fridel Identified in Fatal 18-Wheeler Truck Accident in Brazos County

 
BRAZOS COUNTY, TX (March 9, 2023) – Officials identified 50-year-old Kimberly Fridel of Navasota as the victim who died in an accident on Highway 105 on March 1.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at FM 159 shortly before 1:00 PM. Based on a report, Fridel was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on FM 159 at the time of the crash.
 
At the same time, a 2011 Freightliner 18-wheeler was traveling eastbound on 105. Due to unknown reasons, Fridel disregarded the stop sign and struck the rear of the trailer the Freightliner was towing.
 
As a result, Fridel suffered severe injuries and died in the crash.
 
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt.
 
As of now, officials continue to investigate the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
