Kevin Holguin Fatally Injured after El Paso Motorcycle Accident on Alameda Avenue

 
EL PASO, TX (September 12, 2024) — 17-year-old Kevin Holguin, of El Paso, and another died in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday, September 4.
 
According to El Paso Police, the accident took place at the 7000 block of Alameda Avenue at about 5:45 p.m.
 
The preliminary investigation determined that a 2018 Volkswagen Passat driven by a 65-year-old woman traveled eastbound on Alameda Avenue, trying to make a left turn.
 
At the same time, a 1985 Yamaha motorcycle ridden by Holguin and a 20-year-old Mexican man traveled westbound on Alameda Avenue. Then a T-Bone-type collision happened between the Volkswagen and the motorcycle.
 
Emergency responders brought Holguin and his passenger to the hospital for treatment. However, both died due to sustained injuries in the accident.
 
The fatalities are the 42nd and 43rd traffic-related death this year in El Paso compared to 53 at this time in 2023.
