Jimmy Snider Killed and Jean Snider Injured after Amarillo Motorcycle Accident

 
AMARILLO, TX (July 24, 2024) — 61-year-old Jimmy Snider died in a motorcycle accident that also injured his wife on Thursday, July 4.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred on West McCormick Road and South Western Street at about 8:00 p.m.
 
Texas DPS said 63-year-old Daniel Hamm, of Ramona, Oklahoma, drove a pickup truck south on South Western Street. At the same time, a 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 motorcycle drove west on West McCormick Road.
 
Officials said the pickup driver failed to yield the right of way at the stop intersection. After that, it drove into the path of the motorcycle. It resulted in the motorcycle crashing into the pickup.
 
Jimmy Snider, who drove the motorcycle, died on the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the passenger on the motorcycle to Northwest Texas Hospital in critical condition. Officers identified her as 56-year-old Jean Snider.
 
Officials continue to investigate the incident.
