David Mitchem Injured, Brent Gilmer Wanted in Hit-and-Run on Highway 105 [Palmer Lake, CO]

Motorcyclist David Mitchem Struck and Critically Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver Brent Gilmer in Palmer Lake

 
PALMER LAKE, CO (July 24, 2024) – The Palmer Lake Police Department identified motorcyclist David Mitchem who suffered injuries in a hit-and-run Highway 105 on June 23.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Westward Lane around 8:15 PM. Based on a report, Mitchem’s motorcycle collided with a truck. Witnesses saw two suspects in the truck leaving the scene.
 
As a result, Mitchem suffered serious injuries in the incident. Crews transported him to the hospital in critical condition.
 
PLPD later identified one of the suspects as Brent Gilmer of Palmer Lake. Police are currently working to contact Gilmer and search for his whereabouts.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
