Jazmine Cruz, Vanessa Robles Identified in Injury Crash in Kennewick

 
KENNEWICK, WA (August 20, 2024) – Authorities identified 38-year-old Jazmine A. Santa Cruz of Kennewick and 18-year-old Vanessa Robles who suffered injuries in a hit-and-run on Highway 397 on July 29.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Columbia Drive. Based on a report, Robles was driving a Toyota Corolla with Santa Cruz and three other passengers when she collided with a green Dodge pickup truck.
 
Officers said two people in the Dodge fled the scene on foot after the crash.
 
As a result, Robles, Santa Cruz, two girls, and a 3-year-old boy sustained injuries. Emergency crews transported them to Trios Southridge Hospital for treatment.
 
Police identified the two occupants of the Dodge as Mark Cummings and Malcolm Slack. They have a history of misdemeanor crimes, including identity theft, trespassing and hit-and-run for Cummings, and assault and resisting arrest for Slack.
