Arnold Ray Killed, Milanes Felipe Injured in Crash on 20 Freeway [Ward County, TX]

Arnold Freddie Ray Identified in Fatal Crash in Ward County

 
WARD COUNTY, TX (August 20, 2024) – Authorities identified 48-year-old Arnold Freddie Ray of Murchison who died in a crash on 20 Freeway on August 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 6:30 AM. Based on a report, Ray was driving a 2021 Ram 2500 westbound on the freeway before the crash.
 
At the same time, 59-year-old Milanes Sanchez Felipe of Pecos was driving a 2012 Kenworth eastbound. Due to unknown reasons, Ray failed to maintain a single lane and hit the semi-truck.
 
As a result, Ray suffered grave injuries in the incident. Officials said he was wearing a seatbelt.
 
Felipe, also wearing a seatbelt, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Reeves County Hospital.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
