James Cooper Causes DUI Crash on Coleman Valley Road in Occidental

 
OCCIDENTAL, CA (December 30, 2022) – Police arrested 24-year-old James Cooper of Cazadero for DUI following a crash on Coleman Valley Road on December 26.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just west of Coleman Valley Creek around 3:20 AM.
 
Based on a report, Cooper was headed eastbound on Coleman when his Toyota Tacoma went off the road. Subsequently, his pickup truck crashed into a tree.
 
As a result, his 34-year-old passenger suffered moderate injuries in the incident. Crews transported the victim to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa.
 
Police said Cooper was under the influence and arrested him at the scene. Officers booked in the Sonoma County jail on suspicion of DUI and harming another person while driving under the influence.
