Semi-Truck Involved in Accident on Highway 395 in Deer Park

 
DEER PARK, WA (July 17, 2023) – Officers responded to an oil spill after a semi-truck accident on Highway 395 on July 6.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at milepost 178 just south of Burroghs Road. Based on a report, a woman was driving a car southbound on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a semi-truck was northbound on the road. As traffic in front of the car began to slow, the driver of the car hit the brakes abruptly, lost control and crossed the center line, hitting the truck.
 
As a result, the woman driving the car suffered severe injuries. Crews transported her to Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment.
 
The semi-truck leaked gallons of fuel into the soil. The Washington Department of Ecology responded to the spill.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
