Demetrio Sanchez Identified in Fatal Bicycle Accident in Lancaster

 
LANCASTER, CA (May 1, 2023) – The Coroner’s Office identified 68-year-old Demetrio Luna Sanchez of Lancaster as the victim who died in a bicycle accident on 14 Freeway on April 28.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened north of Avenue D around 11:05 PM. Based on a report, Sanchez was riding his bicycle near the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck him. Officers found Sanchez, lying on the right side of the freeway.
 
As a result, CHP Officer Patrick Kimball said emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
