Christian Reyes Dead in Ward County Accident on Highway 115

 
WARD COUNTY, TX (November 6, 2024) — 30-year-old Christian Reyes died in a two-vehicle accident on Sunday, October 20.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened on Highway 115 near mile marker 389 at around 3:20 a.m.
 
Texas DPS said a 2017 Jeep Wrangler driven by Reyes traveled southbound on Highway 115. At the same time, a 2009 Freightliner truck driven by 36-year-old Aldo Jesus Corrales Orduno traveled southbound on the improved shoulder of the road.
 
Then Orduno tried to make a U-turn right in front of Reyes. It resulted in the collision of the two vehicles.
 
Responding officers pronounced Reyes dead at the scene. Officers said did not wear a seatbelt.
 
Meanwhile, Orduno did not sustain any injuries. Reports said he wore a seatbelt.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
