Nicholas Pinal Arrested, Marichael Santos Hurt in Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 6, 2024) — Authorities arrested 23-year-old Nicholas Pinal after a fatal pedestrian accident on Sunday, October 20.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred at about 12:18 a.m. on East Charleston Boulevard near 10th Street.
 
LVMPD said that a Toyota Camry traveled eastbound on Charleston East on 10th Street in the middle of three lanes. At the same time, a 51-year-old pedestrian tried to cross Charleston Boulevard.
 
Then Pinal, the driver of the Toyota, struck the pedestrian’s right side and pushed him forward.
 
Paramedics arrived and administered all life-saving measures. However, the pedestrian died at the scene.
 
The passenger in the Toyota, 22-year-old Marichael Santos, claimed they sustained injuries.
 
Police said Pinal displayed signs of impairment. They arrested him for DUI-related-charges.
 
The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section continues to investigate the crash.
 
The incident is the 126th traffic-related death in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction this 2024.
