Bicyclist Hospitalized after Las Vegas Hit-and-Run Crash on Sahara Avenue

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (March 25, 2024) — A bicycle rider sustained critical injuries following a hit-and-run accident on Sahara Avenue on Monday, March 11.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash took place on Sahara Avenue near Lamb Boulevard at about 6:54 p.m.
 
Police said a 2010 Mazda 3 traveled westbound on Sahara Avenue. When it was near the intersection with Lamb Boulevard, the bicyclist crossed the Mazda’s path as he tried to cross Sahara Avenue from north to south.
 
The car then stuck the bike. The impact knocked its rider to the ground.
 
First responders responded. After that, they brought the bicyclist to Sunrise Hospital. Police said he remains in the hospital in critical condition.
 
A short time following the incident, police said they found the Mazda near the crash site without anyone inside.
 
As of writing, the driver of the Mazda is still at large.
