Joseph Heath Dies in Colorado Springs Motorcycle Crash on Austin Bluffs Parkway and Meadow Lane

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (March 22, 2024) — A man identified as Joseph Heath died in a motorcycle crash on the evening of March 1.
 
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, a motorcycle and SUV crashed at Austin Bluffs Parkway and Meadow Lane. It took place just outside one of the entrances to University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
 
According to police, the rider ran a red light and hit the SUV.
 
The motorcyclist died at the scene. The CSPD released the identity of the rider as 23-year-old Joseph Heath on Monday, March 11.
 
Police said that impairment was not a factor. However, speed likely contributed to the fatal collision.
 
CSPD said the incident was the 12th traffic-related death on the road in Colorado Springs this year.
