16-Year-Old Ethan Vargas Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Pasco

 
PASCO, WA (March 22, 2024) – Officers identified 16-year-old Ethan Vargas of Kennewick who died in a pedestrian accident on 182 Freeway on March 12.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Road 100 shortly before 4:00 AM. Based on a report, Vargas was walking southbound from the right shoulder of the road at the time of the accident.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a car driving west hit him
 
As a result, Vargas suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The driver of the car – a 58-year-old Pasco man – was not hurt.
 
The collision also closed the westbound lanes while rescue operation took place in the area.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. However, no other details are available.
