Sasha Candelaria Involved in DUI Crash on 10 Freeway in El Paso

 
EL PASO, TX (May 1, 2024) – Officers arrested 35-year-old Sasha Candelaria following a DUI crash on 10 Freeway on April 19.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at Airway Boulevard around 3:43 AM.
 
Based on a report, an El Paso Police Department vehicle was blocking a disabled vehicle that had broken down in two lanes of the four-lane highway before the crash.
 
At the same time, Candelaria was traveling on the roadway. Due to unknown reasons, she failed to control her speed and rear-ended the EPPD vehicle.
 
As a result, Candelaria sustained injuries in the incident. Crews transported her to University Medical Center for medical treatment.
 
Officers arrested her for driving while intoxicated.
