Amanda Yaksic Identified in Accident Involving Semi-Truck on Highway 970 in Cle Elum

 
CLE ELUM, WA (March 7, 2024) – Officials identified 36-year-old Amanda L. Yaksic of College Place who suffered injuries in a semi-truck accident on Highway 970 on February 28.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 7:30 AM. Based on a report, Yaksic was driving a vehicle when she crossed the centerline and struck a semi-truck.
 
As a result, Yaksic suffered unspecified injuries in the crash. Emergency crews transported her to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.
 
The driver of the semi, 47-year-old Adama Fofana of Puyallup, was not hurt.
