Elderly Dead in Bicycle Accident on Fremont Boulevard
FREMONT, CA (March 6, 2025) — A 73-year-old rider died in a bicycle accident on Fremont Boulevard on Sunday, February 16.
According to Fremont Police, the incident occurred near Fremont Boulevard and London Common.
The initial investigations revealed the bicyclist rode near the intersection. Then they struck a curb. After that, the impact ejected the rider from their bicycle.
Despite wearing a helmet, the rider suffered serious head and facial injuries. Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital, where they remained under medical care for a week. The bicyclist later succumbed to sustained injuries and died on Sunday.
Officials have not released the identity of the victim. They only stated that the rider was a Fremont resident.
Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles or individuals were involved in the crash.
