Mario Villarreal Injured in Laredo Motorcycle Crash

 
LAREDO, TX (March 6, 2025) — United ISD Police Officer Mario Villarreal suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident on Monday, February 24.
 
According to Laredo Police, the collision happened at around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Jacaman Road and Arena Boulevard.
 
Laredo Police said Villarreal was on duty and traveling along Jacaman Road. Then a Toyota Camry failed to yield the right of way and hit his motorcycle.
 
Responding officers found Villarreal with injuries to his lower extremities. They first transported him to a local hospital. After that, paramedics airlifted him to a hospital in San Antonio for additional treatment.
 
The driver of the Toyota was identified as 21-year-old Alessandra Davila. Authorities confirmed she remained at the scene. Authorities cited her for failing to yield.
 
United ISD released a statement acknowledging the crash. They noted Villarreal’s injuries are non-life-threatening. In addition, they emphasized their commitment to supporting his recovery.
 
The Laredo Police Department continues to investigate the accident.
