Max Casias Injured in San Antonio Hit-and-Run

 
SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 6, 2025) — 6-year-old Max Casias suffered serious injuries after a hit-and-run on Saturday, February 15.
 
According to San Antonio Police, the incident occurred around midnight near the intersection of Southwest Loop 410 and Valley Hi Drive.
 
San Antonio Police said Max rode in the back seat of a Mazda, secured in his car seat. Then a gray 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck reportedly ran a red light. After that, it collided with their vehicle.
 
Officers said that the three people inside the truck immediately fled the scene on foot after the crash.
 
Max sustained severe injuries, including torn neck ligaments and nerve damage. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital, where he continues to recover. His father, Hector Salazar Jr., was also in the vehicle. He received treatment and was released.
 
Investigators continue to search for the identity of the driver, who will face charges of collision involving serious bodily injury once located.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway. The San Antonio Police Department asks anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
