DALLAS, TX (March 6, 2025) — A 13-year-old boy, Bradley Daniels Jr., suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday, February 26.
 
According to the Dallas Police, the incident occurred on Sunday evening as Bradley Jr. and his friends were walking in the Red Bird area near Friendship Baptist Church.
 
While trying to cross Wheatland Road to avoid a dog, a tan Dodge pickup truck driven by 46-year-old Jerome Walker hit Bradley Jr. Then Walker fled the scene.
 
Using nearby Flock cameras, investigators identified the suspect vehicle. Then they traced it to Walker’s residence. According to police, Walker admitted to driving the truck. However, claimed he thought he had hit a construction sign.
 
Authorities reported no evidence of a sign being struck. Also, the truck had damage consistent with hitting the child.
 
Bradley Jr. sustained a fractured skull and brain bleeding. He also suffered severe injuries to his foot. He is still recovering at Children’s Hospital with his parents by his side.
 
Officers charged Walker with a collision involving serious bodily injury. They set his bond at $25,000.
