ELK GROVE, CA (November 7, 2022) – A 72-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Hampton Oak Drive and Canyon View Drive on Wednesday morning, November 2.

The Elk Grove Police Department stated that the accident took place around 7:20 a.m. and involved a Nissan Altima.

Authorities reported that the Altima, heading west on Hampton Oak Drive, struck the victim who wore dark clothes while crossing the road.

The suspect stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officials.

Authorities also furthered that the driver did not seem to be driving under the influence or over-speeding.
