HOUSTON, TX (April 9, 2024) — A 40-year-old man suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on the Eastex Freeway on Friday, April 5.
 
According to the Houston Police Department, the accident occurred on Eastex Freeway and Tidwell Road at around noon.
 
HPD said the man tried to cross the freeway. Then a driver in a white Cadillac SRX struck him.
 
Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to the hospital in critical condition.
 
The driver reportedly remained at the scene.
 
It’s not yet determined why the man crossed the freeway. There are also no reports if anyone will face any charges.
