PHOENIX, AZ (April 11, 2024) — A man died following a hit-and-run crash near 36th Street on Wednesday, April 3.
 
According to Phoenix police, the crash happened near 36th Street and Camelback Road at about 10:30 p.m.
 
Police later determined that the man rode his motor scooter. Then a vehicle driving westbound on Camelback Road struck the man as he tried to cross the roadway.
 
When officers arrived, they discovered a man suffering from critical injuries. Then they brought the man from the scene to the hospital. He later died due to sustained injuries.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
That vehicle left the scene before authorities arrived.
