Woman Killed While Fleeing Traffic Stop on 25 Freeway in Colorado Springs

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 9, 2024) – The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed that a woman died in an accident on 25 Freeway on April 7.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Highway 85 around 12:03 AM. Based on a report, CSP officers were attempting a traffic stop near the southbound side of the freeway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the female driver began to drive away from troopers and off a bridge near Highway 85. Her vehicle landed upside down, ejecting her. Then, several other cars hit her vehicle.
 
As a result, the woman suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release her name while waiting for kin notification.
 
The crash caused minor damage to a portion of the guard rail.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
