Rosendo Gaeta Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run on FM 2920 in Spring

 
SPRING, TX (January 12, 2023) Harris County deputies arrested 35-year-old Rosendo Gaeta following a fatal hit-and-run in the 5900 block of FM 2920 on January 4.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 6:35 AM. Based on a report, Gaeta was speeding prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, Gaeta collided with another vehicle and fled the scene.
 
When police arrived, they located a wife and husband – Chelsie Garnello and Syedz Hasnain – and their 3-year-old were found injured in their car.
 
As a result, the male toddler died due to his serious injuries.
 
The wife was driving the car and was said to have suffered bodily injury. Her husband was riding as a passenger in the front seat and reportedly suffered a swollen neck and a head injury.
 
Deputies said they eventually found Gaeta almost a mile from the scene and discovered he was intoxicated.
 
Police charged Gaeta with two counts of intoxication assault, two counts of failure to stop and render aid causing serious bodily injury. In addition, one count of failure to stop and render aid during a motor vehicle accident.
