Speeding Leads to Single-Car Accident on 90 Freeway near Highway 17 in Moses Lake

 
MOSES LAKE, WA (October 25, 2022) – Paramedics sent a 17-year-old passenger to the hospital following a car accident on 90 Freeway on October 17.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at the off-ramp at Exit 179 to connect to 90 Freeway.
 
Based on a report, a car was traveling eastbound on the freeway prior to the crash. As it entered the off-ramp at Exit 179, it failed to negotiate a curve and drove straight through an open space between the off-ramp and the nearby on-ramp. Subsequently, the vehicle came to rest facing the wrong direction on the on-ramp to the freeway. There were no other vehicles involved in the collision.
 
There were four people in the vehicle at the time and the teen passenger was not wearing a seatbelt. As a result, crews transported the victim to a nearby hospital for precautionary measures.
 
Police will charge the driver of the vehicle for driving too fast. At this point, the Moses Lake Police Department is still investigating the collision.
