Driver Hospitalized after Car Accident on FM 1729 at Highway 62 [Lubbock, TX]

Children Uninjured, Driver Hurt in Lubbock Single-Car Accident on FM 1729

 
LUBBOCK, TX (November 30, 2022) – Paramedics transported a driver to the hospital following a car accident on FM 1729 and East Highway 62/82 on November 28.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly before 7:30 AM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a vehicle east bound on the road prior to the crash.
 
As it approached a curve, the vehicle lost a tire and the driver lost control. Subsequently, the car entered a ditch and rolled before coming to a rest.
 
As a result, the driver was ejected from the vehicle. Paramedics sent the victim to University Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.
 
Two children who were in the car were not hurt and were secured safely in their seats.
 
The crash remains under investigation.
