Two Vehicles Catch Fire in Fatal Crash on 90 Freeway in Issaquah

 
ISSAQUAH, WA (November 7, 2022) – Police confirmed that one person died in a fiery car crash on 90 Freeway on November 5.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 5:45 PM.
 
Based on a report, a vehicle was traveling westbound on the freeway at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. As it approached a slower traveling vehicle, it made a lane change. Then, it lost control and left the roadway before striking a concrete structure and bursting into flames. WSP said the second vehicle also caught fire from the debris.
 
As a result, one person died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the name of the victim, pending kin notification.
 
In addition, the crash closed the westbound lanes of the freeway for approximately three hours while crews worked at the scene of the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
