Jon Martin Killed in Shelton Accident on Highway 101
SHELTON, WA (November 7, 2022) – Police identified 36-year-old Jon Martin of Shelton as the victim who died in a car accident on Highway 101 on November 4.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Hurley Waldrip Road just after 2:00 PM.
Based on a report, Martin’s car was crossing the intersection at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a second car driven by a 28-year-old Shelton man hit Martin’s car on the driver’s side. Then, both cars came to rest in the southbound lane of the highway.
As a result, emergency crews pronounced Martin dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle and his three passengers, two children and a 31-year-old Shelton woman, suffered injuries in the crash. Crews took them to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
As of now, an investigation is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
