Fatal Pedestrian Accident on East Marginal Way South in Seattle

 
SEATTLE, WA (October 31, 2022) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on East Marginal Way South on October 27.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Ellis Avenue South around 7:14 AM.
 
Based on a report, a pedestrian was on the lanes at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck the victim.
 
As a result, the Seattle Department of Transportation reported that the victim died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
 
In addition, the crash closed all northbound lanes of East Marginal Way South.
 
Officials said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. As of now, WSP officers are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
