SHELTON, WA (September 12, 2022) – Officials confirmed that two people died in a head-on crash on Highway 101 on September 7.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Wallace Kneeland Boulevard around 7:33 AM.
 
Based on a report, a Mazda crossed over the center line and struck a gravel truck head-on. Then, the Mazda struck a Toyota 4Runner on its driver side.
 
As a result, two people died in the incident. The victims’ identities were not immediately available.
 
The driver of the Mazda and another involved suffered serious injuries in the crash. Paramedics transported the victims to the hospital for treatment.
 
In the end, officers arrested the Mazda driver on suspicion of driving under the influence.
