Fatal Crash on State Route 530, Zoey Ensey Identified

 
ARLINGTON, WA (September 2, 2022) – The authorities responded to the fatal car crash and killed Zoey Ensey on State Route 530 at 12:34 p.m. on August 6.

In a press release, the Washington State Patrol said that 52-year-old Corey Miller of Stanwood was driving east on State Route 530 in a 2005 Chevy Pickup and was approaching Arlington Heights Road.

Miller did not stop at a stoplight and hit a white 2015 Volkswagen Passat, driven by 26-year-old Ensey of Arlington, as she turned onto westbound State Route 530 from Arlington Heights Road. The pickup stopped on the sidewalk at the northeast corner of the intersection and the Volkswagen Passat stopped in the Eastbound lane of State Route 530.

Miller was hurt and brought to Providence Hospital Colby Campus for treatment. Troopers confirmed that Miller was not wearing a seatbelt.

Medical professionals took Ensey, who had suffered critical injuries, to Cascade Valley Hospital. However, she died some time later. Police said that she was wearing her seatbelt during the whole accident.

It is unknown if alcohol or drugs had been used before the accident.

Investigations are ongoing on Miller’s potential legal options and the crash’s official cause.
