34-Year-Old Zachary Mitchell Killed in Crash on Interstate 5

 
RED BLUFF, CA (December 1, 2022) – 34-year-old Zachary Mitchell died following a crash on Interstate 5 on Monday, November 28.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place around 4:45 a.m. Initial investigation revealed that Mitchell, heading north on Interstate 5, stopped and gout out of his vehicle on the right shoulder south of Adobe Road.

Mitchell was standing on the east side of the freeway when a 2014 Toyota Prius struck him.

Mitchell died at the scene, police said.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident but alcohol and drugs do not seem to be factors in the crash.
