Zachary Alan Wilkinson Died in Tow Truck Crash on Highway 183 [Goliad County, TX]

One Person Killed in Goliad County Crash

 
GOLIAD COUNTY, TX (January 30, 2023) – Zachary Alan Wilkinson died after a crash on US Highway 183 North about 5 miles north of Goliad on Monday, January 23.

According to the San Antonio Department of Public Safety, the crash involved a 2009 freight liner box truck driven by Wilkinson and a 2022 International Truck Trailer driven by Taddarian Dontertello Powell.

Preliminary investigation detailed that Wilkinson failed to control his speed. As a result, he rear ended a 2004 Hyundai semi-trailer that was being towed by Powell.

Wilkinson died at the scene, police said.

There is no information on the condition of Powell at this time. However, no other details are available.
