WEST COVINA, CA (January 30, 2023) — Frederick Ibarra Jr. died after a car crash on 10 (San Bernardino) Freeway at Pacific Avenue on Wednesday, January 25.

The fatal collision involved a white Honda and a big rig, according to the California Highway Patrol which dispatched officers to the scene at about 2:16 a.m.

Authorities did not disclose the details leading up to the incident but confirmed that the involved vehicles were found near the center divider where the Honda caught fire.

The 50-year-old Ibarra, believed to be an occupant of the Honda, died at the scene.

The cause and circumstances behind the accident remain under investigation.
