WSDT Contractor’s Vehicle Hit in Crash on 405 Freeway in Renton

 
RENTON, WA (January 15, 2025) – A contractor with the Washington State Department of Transportation suffered injuries in a crash on 405 Freeway on January 8.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened in a work zone on the freeway. Based on a report, the contractor was reducing lanes at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, another vehicle came and struck the victim’s car.
 
The contractor was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
 
As a result, the collision totaled the victim’s truck and its equipment. A digital message sign and hard static signs in the truck were destroyed.
