Woman Dead, Three Suffered Injuries in Commerce City Accident on Highway 2

 
COMMERCE CITY, CO (September 18, 2023) — A woman died and three others suffered injuries in a speeding crash on Highway 2 on Friday, September 15.
 
According to the Commerce City Police Department, a teen drove a vehicle southbound on Highway 2 at a very high rate of speed at around 11:30 p.m.
 
Then the speeding car struck another vehicle making a left-hand turn off the highway onto 72nd Avenue.
 
The impact of the collision killed the driver of the vehicle making a turn. Officers described her as a 56-year-old woman.
 
The two passengers in that vehicle suffered serious injuries. Police only identified them as a 38-year-old woman and a young child.
 
The teen driver of the speeding vehicle also sustained serious injuries.
