RITZVILLE, WA (December 18, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that a 34-year-old woman from Wapato died in a rollover crash on Highway 395 on December 8.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 90 Freeway. Based on a report, the woman was driving a 2001 GMC Yukon at a high rate of speed before the crash. Police said the road was icy at that time.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle crashed and rolled over.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Authorities did not release her name, pending kin notification.
 
The WSP said eight other people were injured in the crash.
 
WSP, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, and Ritzville police worked to clear the scene.
