DUI Suspected in Fatal Rollover Crash in Arlington

ARLINGTON, TX (January 12, 2023) – The Arlington Police Department confirmed that a 62-year-old woman died in a crash on 20 Freeway on January 8.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Collins Street shortly after 2:00 AM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a Ford F-150, weaving in and out of lanes of the freeway prior to the crash.

Subsequently, the F-150 sideswiped a Dodge Ram 1500 in the eastbound lanes of the freeway. The impact caused the F-150 to spin into the center median and roll multiple times, before landing on its side.

As a result, the woman was ejected and killed in the incident. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.

Her 47-year-old male passenger suffered serious injuries while two people in the Dodge Ram sustained minor injuries.

Police suspected alcohol as a factor in the crash. As of now, the crash remains under investigation.

We offer our sincere condolences to the bereaved family and friends of the victim.
