Woman Struck and Killed by Teen Hit-and-Run Driver on 75th Avenue in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (August 23, 2023) – Officers confirmed that a woman died in a hit-and-run on 75th on August 14.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Indian School Road at approximately 9:30 PM. Based on a report, the woman was crossing the street at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle that hit her and left the scene.
 
As a result, the woman suffered critical injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported her to a hospital, where she later died. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
Detectives said a witness followed the suspect vehicle to a nearby home and they found its driver. They said the teen did not show signs of impairment but he could be facing charges pending review of the case.
